Payanti & Cultural Immersion Program

Your registration and assessment process will begin when you complete the following registration form. Once you submit this form, you will receive an email confirmation with more instructions—including several next steps to complete—thereafter. You will have 7 days to complete these next steps (including filling out our medical questionnaire and scheduling an introductory call with us), otherwise we will need to cancel your request and you will need to re-request your dates for a different time. We ask that you only apply if you are certain and confident that you are available to attend the program during these dates. If you have any doubts about your availability, we kindly ask that you wait to make your request, or schedule for a different program when you are actually available.

Each sámati xóbo (house for samá) is designed to be a private sanctuary that can meet all of your basic needs and aid in your samá process. They incorporate a traditional leaf roof design together with high quality hardwood floors and walls. Mosquito screen encloses the living space, which includes a private dry double-vault composting toilet. Attached by a small bridge is a spacious open air bathing platform with a shower, faucet, large basin, and small stool for personal floral baths and washing. Inside you will find:

1 single bed with frame

2 sets of 100% cotton sheets

1 blanket

1 mosquito net

2 100% cotton towels

1 hammock

1 small table and chair

1 emergency whistle

1 traditional clay ashtray

drinking water

candles & matches

toilet paper

small hand washing sink

shelves

Please note that, for the purpose of enhancing the experience of samá, we do not have running electricity in the tambos (or onsite at all), so at night you will be operating by candlelight or your headlamp.

Payment Terms *	I understand that after my introductory call and confirmation from Jakon Rate, my dates will be secured with a 50% deposit of the full exchange, and I agree to pay the remaining 50% balance no later than two weeks prior to the start of my stay.
Guest Cancellation Policy *	I understand Jakon Rate’s cancellation policy: cancellations made more than one month before my stay receive a full refund (minus banking fees); cancellations within one month receive a transferable credit; cancellations within two weeks due to family or medical emergency receive either a 50% refund (minus fees) and 50% credit, or 100% credit; cancellations after my stay begins are refunded only on a nightly basis (minus fees).
