10-Day Cultural Immersion Payanti
February 16 - 25, 2026
Program Overview
Our Payanti and Cultural Immersion group program is a time of listening, remembering, and rebalancing through immersion in Shipibo-Konibo culture and plant wisdom. In Shipibo-Konibo tradition, payanti refers to the initial process of cleansing and attunement that harmonizes the body and spirit. In this rare invitation, you will live close to the land and participate in workshops and teachings that expose you to the cultural foundations of ceremonial plant wisdom. Workshops may include traditional ceramics, embroidery, kene designs, language, ikaros singing, and storytelling, among others. While there are still restrictions, practices, treatments, and ceremonies, payanti allows you to move gently, integrating foundational elements of Shipibo-Konibo healing within a broader context of cultural immersion. For those new to this path, or those seeking to re-enter it with intention, this program offers a unique opportunity to connect with the essence of ceremonial work and the culture from which it emerges. You’ll leave not only clearer and more grounded, but with a deeper understanding of the worldview that holds these traditions.
This 10-day, 9-night offering includes 4 traditional ceremonies during your time with us on the land, and is designed for students who do not want to partake in a traditional samá during their stay, and instead wish to develop a more holistic and culturally-guided understanding and relationship with the plant medicines.
We recommend this program for those who are new to this space and tradition.
Thanks so much, and we hope to see you on our land very soon!
